So, alles in Ordnung, das Dach ist noch auf dem Haus und auch sonst sieht es so aus als hätten alle Nachbarn den Sturm überlebt. Obwohl die Straßen in meiner Nachbarschaft komplett grün sind. Hier hat es die Bäume ordentlich entlaubt.

Der Austin Statesman hatte folgendes zu berichten:

An overnight thunderstorm brought wind gusts of more than 70 miles an hour, snapping large trees, uprooting vegetation, closing roads and cutting power to more than 19,000 residents in Central and West Austin. When the storm passed through the Austin area between 9 p.m. last night and 1 a.m. this morning, more than 5 inches of rain fell in Hutto and Georgetown, and 3 and 4 inches of rain in Round Rock, according to the National Weather Service.

Golf-ball and baseball-size hail was reported throughout Austin.

In Hutto, where roofs were torn off, sheds were destroyed and dozens of trees were reported down, Hutto Police Chief Harold Thomas said a tree hit a power line about 10 p.m. and knocked it into FM 685 close to Texas 130. He said crews cleared the road by about 2 a.m. Wind also caved in a garage door of Hutto Fast Lube at 670 W. Front St., Thomas said. More than a dozen roads in Williamson County were still closed Thursday morning.

Jetzt muß ich nur noch diesen verdammten Zwergen hier klarmachen, daß ich keine Lust habe, der gelben Straße zu folgen, dann ist wieder alles im Lot.
