Kaum ist Katrin weg, da scheint auch schon die Sonne. Aber das ist natürlich nicht alles, was im Land der Cowboys und Indianer passiert. Zum Beispiel haben amerikanische Forscher mal wieder bewiesen, wer Weltspitze ist: sie haben Antidepressiva für Haustiere entwickelt. Jetzt können ängstliche Hunde mal richtig aufdrehen.
Und es entspinnt sich gerade eine Diskussion um das texanische "Futile Care Law":

Texas's six-year-old "futile-care" law is one of two in the country that allow a hospital's ethics committee to declare the care of a terminally ill patient to be of no benefit and to discontinue care within a certain time frame.

Wobei ich mich ja frage, was genau "no benefit" hier bedeutet und auf wen sich das bezieht.
